Description
Special edition: 703rd Bombardment Squadron.
Superbly hand-painted by a UK artist, these special edition bags are available in very limited quantities. Specially chosen for its fame in WWII, the 703rd Bombardment Squadron flew with the 8th Air Force in the European theatre of operations. Flying B-24 Liberators their skill in combat earned them a Distinguished Unit Citation. Hollywood star James Stewart flew with this squadron, in fact he became unit commander at one point.
Made from a strong, 100% cotton canvas, the USAAF kit bag is an exact reproduction of the early-war version in the correct pale olive-drab shade.
It will easily hold a leather flight jacket, along with plenty of other items. For short-stay trips it's a must - big enough to carry all you need, but small enough to classify as 'carry-on' baggage on a flight.
You can also personalise your kit bag by having an authentic name tag strip stencilled and stitched on white webbing tape - just like the originals!
