Description
This contract's full designation is 'W535 AC 23382'. Awarded to the Cable Raincoat Co in late 1941 it was made from veg-tanned Horsehide.
Located in Boston, this was the Cable Raincoat Company's first of three contracts for A-2s.
Typical of most of the pre and early war A-2 jackets it was made in a Russet brown shade with a semi-aniline dye finish.
Our reproduction is made from our own specially prepared veg-tanned Horsehide in the correct colour and finish for this contract. We spend an inordinate amount of time and effort with our leather tanneries developing the most authentic specification possible, so your jacket will wear-in just like the originals.
The cut and stitch style is followed according to Cable's house style, and of course all other details of trim are replicated to match in unrivaled authenticity.
The KWIK® zip. As you will see in the image gallery this contract of A-2 was originally made with a Kwik zip. Only a few contracts can be found with these, so to make a 100% authentic reproduction of this model requires a Kwik zip. KWIK® zips are unique to Eastman Leather Clothing and as such make this particular reproduction incredibly exclusive.
