Description

On most US military bases there would be what was known as a PX Store. The PX would sell all kinds of products from candy to clothes, such as T-shirts.

During WWII, all US military personnel were be issued with undershirts - affectionately referred to as 'scivvies'. These garments are what soon became known as T-shirts and would get worn not just as undershirts but as sports shirts also.

When used for sports or training it was common practice to have an undershirt printed with a motif of whatever organisation was being represented. However, for some personnel it was preferred to buy their own T-Shirts for this purpose and so many would buy civiliarn made Tees from the PX.

The PX tees were generally made with sports in mind and so had closer neck apertures with beaded neck and sleeve trims to give them extra strength.

Our PX Tee is a recreation of the typical type of tee made for the PX, and is adorned with the famous and popular Air Corps Gunnery School print.

For those who like this print but prefer the more contemporary shape and closer neck line this is a great alternative option to the issue scivvy version we offer as well.
